Tablets (Cards)

These basic tablets are made from heavy beige cardstock to simulate parchment, and last considerably longer than playing cards.   They are either numbered on the A-D edge, or can be left plain.  Available as 6cm squares (playing-card size) or 5cm squares for working with silk (less wastage at the end).

We also have sturdy balsawood tablets in both sizes.  These are sanded to a smooth finish, and have beveled edges to allow them to slip easily between the warp threads.

  Cardstock:
       5- or 6-cm squares, $3.00 per 25 pack, single tablets 15c each.

  Wood:
       5cm squares are $10.00 per 25 pack , single tablets 50c each.
       6cm squares are $12.00 per 25 pack , single tablets 50c each.

The silk is spun slightly thicker than silk embroidery thread, and is ideal for garters, spur straps, fine apron straps, and trim.  For colours, see the Silk Embroidery Threads.
